Matthew Bernstein is an associate attorney at Green & Schafle, where he advocates on behalf of clients in the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program and other complex litigation matters. He brings a unique background in high-stakes contract negotiation and athlete representation to his legal practice, applying the same strategic discipline and client-first mindset to his current work helping injured individuals seek justice.
Matthew earned his law degree from Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law, where he received the school’s highest academic scholarship. During law school, he interned at one of the top sports management agencies in the country, contributing to contract analysis, player valuation, and arbitration preparation. He also worked for Major League Baseball’s Replay Operations Department, where he supported the league’s review and analysis of in-game decisions, gaining experience in high-pressure environments that required real-time judgment and precision.
Following graduation, Matthew spent several years as a certified MLBPA agent representing professional baseball players in contract negotiations, salary arbitration, and player development. He managed all aspects of client strategy and provided legal and business guidance to both Major League and amateur athletes preparing for the draft. His work required not only a strong grasp of contractual frameworks and analytics but also the ability to manage confidential, sensitive matters with discretion and trust.
Matthew now uses his extensive negotiation and case development experience to support individuals harmed by vaccine-related injuries and other adverse events. His background has honed his ability to navigate emotionally charged and legally complex issues with clarity, empathy, and determination.
He is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania since 2019.
